The Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts named in tribute to Lord Attenborough and his family, will open in autumn 2015 after a multi-million pound programme of external repairs and total refurbishment of the former Gardner Centre on the University of Sussex’s campus in Falmer. The vision for the Attenborough Centre is for a contemporary, inter-disciplinary, campus-based performing arts centre that forges dynamic new bonds between the University, the city of Brighton and Hove and the wider domestic and international performing arts ecologies. 

The Creative Director is a new role in which an exceptional individual of established standing and credibility in the performing arts nationally and internationally will work in partnership with stakeholders to develop the Attenborough Centre as a leading performing arts resource for artists, students, academics and the public in Falmer, Brighton and Hove and across the South East and beyond.
