Arts and Design of Tajikistan)

Olga Stefan will discuss her curatorial practice within the context of a
freelance existence in Switzerland. A scan of the art scene, existing art
spaces and cultural policy will also be presented. She will then screen a
selection of films from the exhibition Few Were Happy with their Condition:

The aim of Olga's trip to Tajikistan is to gain insight into the art scene,
visit studios, and get to know the local artists. Her research while here
focuses on how contemporary art is perceived, produced and practiced and
what are the modes in which artists work and operate.
