Dear all,

We are happy to announce our next event within the Critical Interface
Politics group at HANGAR [Barcelona]:

"Data & Interfaces: Invisible storytelling in the age of algorithmic
governance". An open session with the current residents of the Critical
Interface Politics research group on May 9th at 19’00 h.

It is assumed that grand narratives are ineffective today in an age of
“post-ideology”. But even in a world said to be run by algorithms, data
and interfaces, story is key in locking people into the grid. So much
has been said about control through gamification but much too little is
discussed of the role of story. During this session Vladan Joler and
Gabriel S Moses, former and current residents of the Critical Interface
Politics research group, will address this issues and more by presenting
and discussing the outcomes of the research & artistic residencies that
they carried out within the European framework IMAGIT at Hangar.

Participants: Vladan Joler, Gabriel S Moses, Adam Etzion, Critical
Interface Politics research group [Joana Moll & Andrea Noni].
