The Lima Art Museum (Museo de Arte de Lima) presents "Profile of a Peruvian
Woman. Event in memory of Teresa Burga”.

Teresa Burga (Iquitos, 1935 - Lima, 2021), was a pioneer artist in Latin
American conceptualism and one of the most prominent figures in
contemporary Peruvian art. Since the 1960’s, Burga has produced a complex
body of work that ranges from drawings, paintings, and sculptures,
multimedia installations and experimental projects.

This 16th and 21st of June we invite you to two virtual talks with the
participation of recognised national and international specialists, who
will promote a reflection on the legacy of this unique artist who passed
away this past February, and thus continue to disseminate her work.
