JOB: Working with Archive of Digital Art (ADA)
To strengthen the Center for Image Sciences (at the Department of Art and Cultural Studies), a position is available in the  "Teaching and Research Infrastructure for Digital Arts at Universities (LeFo)" project. The project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, aims at a comprehensive extension and multimedia development of the platform "Archive of Digital Art (short: ADA, digitalartarchive.at)" in cooperation with partners The University of Applied Arts Vienna and Art University Linz. This includes, among other things the application and development of various research tools as well as thesauri for media art.

Your tasks
*             Participation in the project "Teaching and Research Infrastructure for Digital Arts at Universities (LeFo)".
*             Development of workflows for handling standards databases in image databases using the example of "Archive of Digital Art
*             Extension of the database "Archive of Digital Art
*             Creation of visual analyses and application of data mining
*             Networking and integration of the "Archive of Digital Art" database (based on API)

Your profile
*             Completed university degree (Master/Diplom/PhD) in the field of media studies, art history or digital humanities, computer science
*             Academic interest in media art research and the teaching of data skills
*             Experience in the field of Digital Humanities, especially in dealing with relational databases (SQL)
*             Experience in working in Projects would be an advantage
*             Good command of German and good written and spoken English (both at least B2)
*             High communicative and organisational competence
*             Ability to work independently and in a team

Your perspective
*             A part-time position (20 hours per week - flexible working hours) initially limited for one year and EUR 2918.71 for Master graduates or EUR 3400.- for PhD graduates minimum gross monthly salary of W3/1 Danube University Krems Work and Remuneration Regulations, Willingness to overpay for appropriate qualifications and professional experience
