Hello Friends of Tea and Noizmusic!

We invite submissions of artworks, performances, recordings, experiments, poems, and essays that broadly explore the concept of mapping and its relationship to the territory.

As Part of the CTM Vorspiel, our Show “Teegeschmack - The Map is Not the Territory” will be a presentation of sound and visual works by independent artists to a small audience at the AL:Berlin bar/performance space on the 01.02.23. Do you have a work in progress performance or are looking for a space to test and experiment with your practice? We’re exited to hear from you.

This can include works that address the discrepancy between the representation (map) and the material underpinnings (territory), as well as those that examine the transformative potential of mapping and its role in shaping our understanding of the world around us. We welcome submissions that consider the responsibilities and consequences of mapping, and that seek to approach this task with care. We are interested in creative and innovative responses to these themes, and encourage a wide range of approaches and mediums.

If you have documentation of your work, feel free to attach links to videos or sound but a short description of your ideas also works for us. We look forward to seeing the unique and thought-provoking submissions you have to offer.

Hallo Freund*innen des Tees und der Noizmusik!

Wir suchen nach Kunstwerken, Performances, Aufnahmen, Experimenten, Gedichten und Essays, die sich mit Karten und deren Beziehung zum Territorium beschäftigen.

Als Teil des CTM Vorspiels wird unsere Show “Teegeschmack - The Map is Not the Territory” am 01.02.23 im AL:Berlin Bar/Performance Space stattfinden. Du hast eine Work-In-Progress Performance oder suchst nach einem Ort, um mit deiner Praxis zu experimentieren? Wir möchten hier eine Plattform und ein kleines Publikum dafür bieten.

Dies können Werke sein, die zeigen, wie Karten das Territorium darstellen oder sich von ihm unterscheiden, sowie solche, die das transformative Potential der Kartierung und ihre Rolle bei der Gestaltung unseres Verständnisses der Welt um uns herum untersuchen.

Wir sind an kreativen und innovativen Antworten auf diese Themen interessiert und ermutigen eine breite Palette an Ansätzen und Medien.
