Dear spectrites, 

I’m working as a postdoc in the research training group „Aesthetic Practice“ at the university of Hildesheim. We have 10 open 3-year-PhD-positions as of 1 April 2025, application deadline: Oct 27, 2024. 

Please feel free to forward to potential applicants.

Some info about the research training group: Funding comes from the German Research Council (DFG), which means it’s not funding artistic phd projects, despite the research group’s title „aesthetic practice“. However, applicants with a background or foot in art, design or any aesthetic practice are very welcome when meeting the requirements. One of those is good knowledge of the German language. The proposal, research itself etc. can be written in English though. For more details, please check the links below.

As of April 1, 2025 at the Faculty of Cultural Studies & Aesthetic Communication at the University of Hildesheim the following positions are to be filled on a temporary basis:

in the framework of the DFG Research Training Group 2477 “Aesthetic Practice”.

The positions are limited to a period of three years.
