The National Library of Ireland, and Special Collections at the library
of Trinity College Dublin, both of them, purchased “The Mountains of
Mourne” book, without any prompting or publicity from me at all.  I
meant to get around to them eventually, with information or publicity,
but I am old now and I don't move very fast if I am busy.  There are now
17 titles by me in the on-line catalogue of the NLI, one-third of them
in Gaeilge, and 19 titles at TCD.  TCD is the largest research-library
in Ireland.

Three new chapbooks by me at the NLI include concrete poetry [Visual
Poetry] which is rarely seen in Ireland (despite the fact that Ireland
was the place-of-location for the creation of “The Book of Kells” and
other beautiful illuminated manuscripts).  They are keeping my chapbooks
at the Main Desk, there have been so many requests to see them.  Thus,
“marbhna,” [“elegy”] “fraoch,” [“heather”], and “fonn” [“melody”].

The NLI has been sharing its copy of “Mountains” with Marsh's Rare Book
library, a private/public library in central Dublin, dating from 1703
and still in its original location, with “The Irish National
Photographic Archive,” also in central Dublin.  It is my understanding
that the INPA did an exhibition which included “Mountains,” in
recognition of Gloria DeFilipps Brush, whose photographs illuminate my
poems in the book.

There you will find an Artist book authored by me, titled “On the isle
of Canna,” text in English and Scottish Gaelic, with words and colour
drawings by the author.  The isle of Canna was/is rich in unusual and
beautiful flora and fauna.  (Though, I could have done with less of the
rats!)  Canna is a paradise for hikers, travellers, tinkers, Mincéirí,
and gypsies.  This isle is a part of the Hebridean archipelago.
