[rough draft] Still Tweaking

1st page ranking$ and engineered algorithms place google in a very peculiar situation with whom and how websites will be ranked. The control of meta data, tags and how your website shows up in search engines is the primary issue. And may spawn a new era of anti-trust. As google attempts to man the helm of the internet marketing flagship. It seems google has begun to say what and who is valuble enough to be on there fist two pages of there search engine. For instance, when you type in Autolect which is an artist whoms name is like none other. But if you type Autolect in the google search engine, since around February 14th 2011. Google returns “Auto-Select?” Of course another product oriented search. Obviously more notable then what i asked for. But okay, how did this happen? Well, If you want to get information on artist known as Autolect you would have to dig back 3 pages.

The secondary issue is a possible anti-trust one as in regards to google exhibiting an open door and “”FREE”" policy prior to its more recent midstream policies of ranking. These “”FARM”" sites may be in danger of data mining and security issues if they can not come up with the neccessarry money to support there meta-tag ranks. As google may wish, All websites on there search engine wether corporate or private. Come up with the necessary capital to be included in there search engine.

This is an obvious change of policy and spits directly in the face of free market capitalism. Not only is google attempting to control the viewing of regular websites via meta data. But marginalizes the internet and stratifies All website owners in a payola esq marketing scheme. This would be fine if the internet actually started out this way. And if google came right out and charged its “”CUSTOMERS”" from the gate.

But this is not the case. What google did may go down in history as the biggest bait and switch scam of all time. In fact whether purposeful or not. Google offered “”FREE”" services in order to bait in potential customers. As well as offer a “”FREE”" search engine service in order to begin to RANK the internet. While they quietly acquired a full range of other services in order to bring in MORE “”FREE”" customers. Once these customer had an email account and enjoyed youtube. The compony pulled a 360 and began to charge. Not only did they begin to charge. They began to manipulate and eliminate them from the ORGANIC internet landscape.

In Scope: If you change your companies focus. You should change your company. In name alerting the public to the new policies and procedures. If a company choices to offer the same services it should do so under the same title. Hence, googles search engine would remain. But for any instance if the services change to lets say a paid ranking system. Then a new domain or company should be used solely for that purpose. The later should not interfere with the former. Due to the issue of marginalization and stratification of public information.
