          artist-run initiative organising informal residencies and
          events in Charleroi, a peculiar shrinking city right next to
          Brussels.<br>

        face="Arial"><span style="font-family: Arial;" lang="EN-GB">In
          July 2011, Hotel Charleroi starts its second session after
          last year’s initial project. This time the basis of Hotel
          Charleroi will be the contemporary art museum BPS 22, which is
          currently closed for administrative reasons. Hotel Charleroi
          is interested in developing new approaches to art in public
          space, therefore the museum will be defined as an
          accommodation infrastructure and not as an exhibition space.</span></font><br>
      <font style="font-size: 10pt;" size="2" face="Arial"><span
          style="font-family: Arial;" lang="EN-GB"></span></font><br>
      <font style="font-size: 10pt;" size="2" face="Arial"><span
          style="font-family: Arial;" lang="EN-GB">From July 9 to July
          22 a series of events will occur in the city, including the
          presentation of interventions which have been planned since
          March by a group of invited artists. We propose interested
          people to join these artists in the BPS22 for informal
          residencies between July 4 and July 24. </span></font><font

          Charleroi out of our own interest and means, therefore we
          cannot offer any financial support to the residents beside
          basic accommodation and participation to the Hotel Charleroi
          program. However, we count on the enthusiasm of local
          institutions and establishments to create networks and
          opportunities in Charleroi and around.</span></font><font
