<strong>Svarte Greiner</strong> is the one man project of <strong>Erik K. Skodvin</strong>
from Langesund, Norway. He also records with Otto Totland as Deaf
Center. While the duo creates dusty grey soundscapes in a surrealistic
world of sounds not far from that of David Lynch & Angelo
Badalamenti. Svarte Greiner is further exploration into a more dark,
mysterious & disturbed universe. Drawing inspirations from artists
such as Earth, Volcano the bear, David Darling & Deathprod, the
output is draped in a Lynchian mysticism & horror film cinematics.
Since his debut album, Skodvin started to build up a distinctive live
technique using an unusual collection of broken glove puppets and
potion-filled medicine bottles. Erik K. Skodvin is also the founder of the Miasmah record label and
graphic design studio. Miasmah has released over sixteen albums since it
started in 2006, both CDs and vinyl, releasing critically-acclaimed
albums by both established and up-and-coming artists and developing a
cohesive aesthetic all on it’s own.<a href="http://www.miasmah.com/eks" target="_blank"><br></a></font></p><p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><font size="2"><a href="http://www.miasmah.com/eks" target="_blank">http://www.miasmah.com/eks</a><br>

<p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><font size="2"><strong>Alexander Rishaug</strong> (Oslo, 1974) is a sound artist,
composer and musician. Rishaug explores tones and textures through the
use of electronics, field recordings, toys or simply just playing around
with an instrument. Rishaug combines the intimate knowledge of his
musical equipment with the playfulness of an amateur. Among the musical
references we find minimalist old-timers such as Steve Reich and Terry
Riley, whose repetitive patterns and drones respectively, form the basis
of much of Rishaug’s album Possible Landscape. These song structures
are combined with a sonic palette that is equally informed by post-90s
electronic music and glitch as by composers such as Pierre Henry and
Bernhard Parmigiani. Although the glitch-sound will continue to be associated with Oval
and the Mille Plateaux-label there is little in Rishaug’s music that
resembles this kind of coldly theoretical and clinically depersonalized
sound. Rather, there is in Rishaug’s music always a deeply human warmth
that more resembles the personal investment of a singer-songwriter than a
laptop-musician. The patient listener will pick up on these qualities
and as a result the experience of Rishaug’s music is rich with potential
listening pleasure. </font></p><font style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2"><a href="http://www.arishaug.com/" target="_blank">http://www.arishaug.com</a><br>

<p><strong>Joke Lanz aka Sudden Infant</strong> creates an unique blend
of physical sound-poetry and dadaistic vocals, using contact
microphones, prerecorded soundloops and noises. The result is abrupt Musique Concrète juxtapositions of spasmodic
gibbering and a battery of disorienting electronics. It’s a fragmented
field of sound that comes to its own autonomy. Born in Switzerland, now based in Berlin, Joke Lanz is presenting his
work since more than 20 years all over the world. Music for
contemporary dance, theatre, sound-installations and films. Innumerable releases on international labels e.g. Schimpfluch,
Entr’acte, RRR, Tochnit Aleph, Blossoming Noise, SSSM, Artware,
Klanggalerie, MSBR, Some Bizarre, iDeal Recordings.</p><p><a href="http://www.suddeninfant.com/frameset.html" target="_blank">http://www.suddeninfant.com/frameset.html</a></p>
<p><strong>Anemone Tube</strong> was founded in the summer of 1996. The
audio works of Anemone Tube are a unique blend of dark ambient and
industrial/noise music with a strong psychogenic impact. The use of
constantly shifting and altering sounds and moods is possibly one of the
most intriguing things about the audio creations of Anemone Tube.</p><p>“Anemone Tube is all about ambient noisescapes. Blending in organic
and synthetic sounds and noises, all culminating into storming and
raging sonic experience. … Purely depending on the listeners mood, the
sounds may either soothe or enrage, expand into massive adventurous
soundscapes or diminish into pitiful minimalism. At times the result may
be pure revolt, causing you into immediately stop listening … At times
it can fuse with your psyche and imagination, accumulating in delirious
and halluzinative experiences. The sounds are pulsating, drowning,
flowing and floating, tormenting and caressing the listener, but most
imporatantly, they cause reaction. Sometimes the sounds can be extremely
haunting and claustrophobic, making the listener squirm in
uncomfortability and irritation, yet insatiability craving for more.
Manic and depressive.”<br>
