<br /><strong>Sabato 7 Gennaio – Domenica 19 Febbbraio 2012</strong><br />Tutti i giorni dalle 12 alle 21, Entrata libera<br />Watermans – 40 High Street, Brentford, West London, TW8 0DS<br /><strong><em>Waterman's International Festival of Digital Art </em></strong><br /><a href="http://clienti.mflab.it/tools/track/90d6d81aa308ee49e605213decgri9tj/17fe4ea3a4305655d4cec14a28rf7e3">http://www.watermans.org.uk/exhibitions/exhibitions/international-festival-of-digital-art-2012.aspx</a><br /><br />In collaborazione con Goldsmiths, Università di Londra, Watermans presenterà nel 2012 una delle collezioni di new media art e arte digitale più ambiziose mai presentate a Londra.<br /><br /><em>Cymatics </em>di <strong>Suguru Goto</strong>, prodotto da <strong>Action Sharing</strong>, rappresenta l'Europa all'interno del <em>Watermans Festival Internazionale di Arte Digitale</em>.<br />Una giuria di esperti ha selezionato un'installazione da ciascuno dei cinque continenti, più una addizionale per il Regno Unito, per avere uno sguardo globale su questa forma d'arte.<br /><br />Tutti e sei gli artisti sono stati incaricati di produrre un lavoro progettato per esplorare la natura dell' interattività nell'arte digitale. Ogni installazione si animano solo quando le persone interagiscono con essa. E così a tutti di "Be Part of the Art".<br /><br /><em>Cymatics</em> è una scultura cinetica sonora che racconta la visione dell'artista della natura, armonizzando alcuni elementi simbolo in un contesto tecnologico. Onde sonore agiscono su materiali come acqua e fluido non-newtoniano mettendoli in moto per creare ambienti in armonia.<br /><br /><em>Cymatics</em> crea ambienti metafisici e spirituali allo stesso tempo. Un luogo dove l'arte è un ponte tra realtà materiali e spirituali, tra tecnologia e natura, tra umanesimo e scienza: due cubi, due stanze, due materiali – l'acqua e un fluido non-newtoniano – sono messi in moto per creare ambienti dove onde sonore trasformano i materiali stessi in forme geometriche. Each installation will only come alive when people interact with it. And so the invitation to everyone is to come and "Be part of the Art".<br /><br /><em>Cymatics</em> is a kinetic sound sculpture that expresses the artist's vision of nature through a series of symbolic elements that are used harmoniously in a technological context.<br /><em>Cymatics</em> creates real spaces that are metaphysical and spiritual at the same time. A place where art is a bridge between the material and the spiritual, between technology and nature, and between the humanities and science. The result is a harmonic vision of the elements of nature, demonstrating the morphogenic effect of sound waves (cymatics).<br />The creative process involved building a synergy between music to be seen and images to be heard, so as to create a sensorial performance for the complexity of human perception.<br /><br />Goto's works have been performed at major festivals. In 1998, he was invited to perform at Sonar, Barcelona; in 2003, he gave a concert at the Pompidou Centre, in Paris; in 2011 performed at Share Festival and in 2009 his 'Robotic Music' was shown at the 53rd Venice Biennale in Italy.<br /><br /><em>Cymatics </em>is exhibited at Watermans as part of the International Festival of Digital Art 2012 with support from The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation and The Japan Foundation.<br /><br /><em>Cymatics</em> is the second project to be produced by Action Sharing, an initiative proudly sponsored by the Torino Chamber of Commerce.<br /><br />Action Sharing is designed to create a platform for syncretic research, encouraging the convergence of art, innovation and science.
