<div>iWeek - is the closing programme of Art+Communication festival,
which takes place in Riga and Liepaja from October 4 until November 4,
2012. The iWeek seminar will be discussing new media art collaboration
practices and how they have been used in establishing collaborative
networks and co-projects in education.</div>

<div>Art+Communication is Riga based festival for art, science and
technologies that is renowned across Europe for its proposed
innovative themes. This year's festival with the title Art of
Resilience explores sustainable future development from the position
of resilience tactics, addresses relationships of nature and
technology and discusses the role of art in developing a
"techno-ecological" perspective.</div>

<div>This year's festival exhibition showcases two artworks -
installation "Dancing with'without Darvin" by Swiss-German
artist collective Knowbotiq and "Biotricity No. 5" by Latvian
artist collective RIXC in collaboration with Voldemars Johansons.
Swiss-German artists are experimenting with camouflage suits while
artists together with scientists from Latvia are building green energy
stations, making visible and audible the process of creating 'bacteria
electricity' and seeking relations between biological (natural) and
electronic (technological) networks.</div>
