This exhibition inaugurates the new V2_Lab space on the ground floor of V2_’s building on the Eendrachtsstraat in Rotterdam. As part of the reconstruction of the ground floor a new mezzanine was installed, and the outside wall was opened up with two large windows, providing a view to the inside from street level. Join us for the opening on Thursday 7 November, 17:00h.</div>

<div><br></div><div>The V2_ Lab Show celebrates the work of V2_Lab by highlighting a selection of exemplary results from its recent history. These results range from artist-in-residency projects and output from its talent development program to artist commissions and spin-off from its technical research. The selected projects reveal a concise overview of the artistic themes, variety in output, and different types of collaborations emerging from V2_Lab. Opening on 7 November, 17:00, the works are on view till 23 November.</div>

<div><br></div><div>In On the Threshold of Beauty Kees Tazelaar meticulously reconstructs the birth and evolution of electronic music in the Netherlands from 1925 till 1965. It is the compelling story of the development of electronic music at the Philips research laboratory, the collaboration between Xenakis, Le Corbusier and Varèse on the now legendary Philips Pavilion at the 1958 World Expo, and the first studios for electronic music in the Netherlands with key figures like Dick Raaymakers and Gottfried Michael Koenig. The book is lavishly illustrated. Finally available at the end of this month. <div><br></div><div>75 Watt by Cohen van Balen is a product ‘Made in China’ to choreograph its own assembly. The work was realized with support by V2_, and is now on view in San Francisco at the YBCA from 18 October 2013 till February 2, 2014, as part of the Dissident Futures exhibition.</div>
