Il nous présentera deux publications – Theatrum Botanicum et Affinités des Sols | Soil Affinities – à travers une lecture performance. Ces deux ouvrages seront ensuite disponibles dans la bateauthèque.<br></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">Gray, Green, Gold (and Red) développe les thèmes et les préoccupations du projet d’Orlow Theatrum Botanicum (2015-2018), considérant les plantes et les jardins comme des agents actifs dans la politique et l’histoire. Il explore le rôle joué par le jardin que Nelson Mandela et ses codétenus ont planté dans la prison de Robben Island au cours de leur dix-huit ans d'incarcération, les implications d'un combat continu entre une fleur et un écureuil, ainsi que le sort des espèces étrangères en Europe et en Afrique du Sud. <br><b style="font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, " segoe="" ui",="" roboto,="" "helvetica="" neue",="" sans-serif;="" font-size:="" 1rem;"=""><br></b></p><p style="text-align: justify; "><b style="font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, " segoe="" ui",="" roboto,="" "helvetica="" neue",="" sans-serif;="" font-size:="" 1rem;"="">A propos des publications</b><br></p><p style="text-align: justify; ">THEATRUM BOTANICUM est un projet développé entre l’Europe et l’Afrique du Sud, composé de plusieurs œuvres dont des films et installations. Il traite de différents sujets : l’expropriation du savoir indigène de plantes médicinales par les Européens, le jardin de Nelson Mandela et des autres prisonniers dans la prison de Robben Island, la violence épistémique de la classification/taxonomie des plantes. La publication documente les œuvres et les recherches et inclut dix essais par différents interlocuteurs. </p><p style="text-align: justify; ">AFFINITÉS DES SOLS | SOIL AFFINITIES remonte le fil du passé maraicher d’Aubervilliers avant que celui-ci ne cède le terrain à la révolution industrielle et que la conférence de Berlin de 1885 n’ouvre la voie au déplacement d’une partie de la production agricole européenne vers l’Afrique. Des récoltes produites autrefois à Aubervilliers ont ainsi été délocalisées au Mali et au Sénégal pour se retrouver aujourd’hui vendues dans les épiceries chinoises et pakistanaises d’Aubervilliers et consommées par ses habitants qui, pour beaucoup, ont également connu le chemin des migrations vers la France. <br></p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br></p><p style="text-align: justify; "> </p><p style="text-align: justify; "><b>Uriel Orlow</b> est un artiste installé à Londres. Sa pratique privilégie la recherche, le processus et pluridisciplinarité, via notamment le film, la photographie, le dessin et le son. Il est connu pour ses films, ses conférences performances et ses installations multimédias qui traitent de sites spécifiques et de micro-histoires selon différents régimes de représentation et de modes narratifs. Son travail s’attache aux manifestations spatiales de la mémoire, aux taches aveugles de la représentation et aux formes de la hantise. </p><p style="text-align: justify; "><br></p><p style="text-align: justify; "><b>La bateauthèque</b> de Marie van Berchem est une ressource nomade et participative dédiée à la pensée critique, décoloniale, antiraciste et féministe. Elle se construit in situ à travers différents accueils, collaborations, dans le but de donner accès aux ressources et de créer un espace inclusif, propice à la réflexion et au dialogue. Les ouvrages sont empruntables à Utopiana.
