Während einige gemeinsame Themen und Tendenzen erkennbar waren, wurde die endgültige Auswahl aufgrund der Sorgfalt der Recherche, der ästhetischen Qualität und der Klarheit der Vision der individuellen Künstler getroffen. Mit dieser Arbeit verleiht die Künstlerin Objekten eine Stimme, nämlich Reproduktionen von Skulpturen, deren Ursprünge vom Buddhismus über das Rokoko und den Neoklassizismus bis zur Moderne reichen und die sie in einem (inzwischen geschlossenen) gewerblichen Ausstellungsraum in Los Angeles fand. Von der Hypothese ausgehend, dass der Handel eine </span><span style="color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt;font-weight:normal;font-style:italic;">lingua franca</span><span style="color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt;font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;"> schafft, sieht ihr Projekt vor, mit dieser Gruppe von Skulpturen eine „Nonsens-Oper“ aufzuführen.
