His work combines spatial recordings of environmental sound with the resonances of buildings and materials. In conversation with<b class=""> Jesse van Winden</b> he presents and discusses his ongoing project <b class="">Shotgun Architecture</b>, that maps space by the sounds generated though shotgun blasts and plays with concepts of subjective measurement, translations between sound and image, and above all, the idea of the publicness of public space.<br class=""><br class=""><b class="">Jacob Kirkegaard</b> will present <b class="">Membrane</b> and <b class="">Through the Wall</b> both portraying recently growing borders: between El Paso to Tijuana and alongside the Israeli West Bank Barrier. Kirkegaard records acoustic and visual properties of carefully selected environments to generate spatial installations, sound sculpture and photography. Kirkegaard has recorded environments as different as subterranean geyser vibrations, empty rooms in Chernobyl, Arctic calving glaciers and tones generated by the human inner ear itself.<br class=""><br class="">From the Süden Radio Archive we will play <b class="">ARMEN</b> by Armenian-Lithuanian composer and sound artist <b class="">Andrius Arutiunian.</b></div><div class=""><b class=""><br class=""></b>radio in between spaces / Sonic Perspectives from the Global South.
