das video widmet sich den hörsituationen in großstädten. die städtische
architektur ist eine soundbox, sie formt einen raum, in dem die uns
umgebende klangwelt resoniert und reflektiert wird. ein klangereignis
entsteht durch bewegung, der klang und seine farbe aus material und raum.

die groß angelegte klanginstallation 'off the wall' basiert auf einer
abwandlung der im jahr 1877 von thomas alva edison erfundenen technologie
zur tonaufnahme und tonwiedergabe. sie ist teil des interdisziplinären
medienkunstprojekts 'phonethica' und bietet eine taktik zur erkundung der
welt mithilfe der phonetik.

|__ robert luxemburg: der angriff der gegenwart auf meine übrige zeit

schlange stehen, eintritt zahlen, sich in einen abgedunkelten raum setzen,
warten bis es irgendwo knistert und der film anfängt. also werbung zuerst
und dann ein kurzfilm, wenn du in einem kino bist, das kurzfilme zeigt, das
ist aber selten - wie lang ist ein kurzfilm im radio?

frieder weiss erarbeitet  zusammen mit emily fernandez eine neue
tanzperformance, die körperbilder und veränderte wahrnehmung im digitalen
zeitalter untersucht. wie inszeniert sich der performer als kontextbezogene
maschine im choreografischen raum?

|__ märzendorfer/hummer: frozen records

musik und schallplatten aus eis. claudia märzendorfer spielt in einer
vermeintlich privaten situation gefrorene abgüsse von lps ab, die der
musiker nik hummer mit seinem analogen synthesizer bearbeitet. je mehr musik
die bildende künstlerin auflegt, desto mehr scheiben verteilen sich um sie
herum. die speichermedien verschmelzen zu einer temporären skulptur.

|__ sam ashley: as though i didn´t know already that the source of life is
an absolute mystery

zwei musiker, sam ashley und 'blue' gene tyranny, spielen miteinander ohne
sich zu hören. live video ist die einzige materielle verbindung zwischen
ihnen. ist die entstehende musik zufällig oder ergebnis einer mentalen
übereinstimmung der künstler?

the video concentrates on the way sounds are heard in big cities. the city
architecture is a sound box, it forms a space in which the ambient sound
world around us is resonated and reflected. a sound event arises from
movement, the sound and its colour from matter and space.

rustles somewhere and the film begins. or the advertisements first and then
a short, if you're in a cinema that plays shorts, which is rare however -
how long is a short on radio?

|__ claudia märzendorfer/ nik hummer: frozen records

music and records made of ice. claudia märzendorfer plays frozen casts of
LPs in a would-be private situation that are worked on by the musician nik
hummer with his analogue synthesizer. the more music the visual artist
plays, the more discs lay around her. the storage media melts into a
temporary sculpture.
