eine audiotastanlage mit 14 kanälen überträgt schallschwingungen auf die körper der besucher und ein im kreis angeordnetes 8-kanal audiosystem erzeugt den klang im raum. ein open-studio zwischen der physik der körper und der psycho-akustik der epidermis!

tesla mit sonambiente ist der beitrag von tesla zum festival sonambiente berlin 2006. die eröffnung ist der auftakt zum programm, das vom 1. juni bis 16. juli das klosterstrassenviertel zum knotenpunkt der medialen künste verwandeln wird. es umfasst ein breites spektrum an künstlerische arbeit rund um das medium klang mit fokus auf die stadt als klangraum und den unterschiedlichen audiovisuellen wahrnehmungen von orten.

in 'atem' wird mit halbtransparenten, weißen papierbahnen ein raum-im-raum geschaffen. minimalistische klänge im inneren verschmelzen mit geräuschen von draußen. in 'innerest' formen folien eine abstrakte 'landschaft', in der klänge aus dem außenraum mit einer komposition verwoben werden.

ein feld aus vierzig druckluftventilen bildet eine 'atmende' architektur aus klang. jedes der einzeln gesteuerten ventile ist teil der komposition aus klang und wind, die auch von den bewegungen des publikums abhängig ist.

a tactile-audio mechanism with 14 channels transmits oscillations to the body of the spectator and one 8-channel audio system arranged in a circle creates the sound in the space. an open studio between the physicality of the body and the psycho-acoustic sense of the skin!

tesla mit sonambiente is tesla's contribution to the sonambiente berlin 2006 festival. the launch is the prelude to the programme which will transform the klosterstrasse quarter into a nodal point of media art from 1 june until 16 july. it encompasses a broad spectrum of artistic work around the medium of sound with special focus on the city as resonant space and the varied audio visual perceptions of location.

in 'atem' a space inside a space is created with half transparent, white paper strips. minimalist sounds in the inner space melt into sounds from outside. in 'innerest', foil forms and abstract landscape in which sounds from the outer space are interwoven with a composition.
