"emperor remixed" - beethovens 5. klavierkonzert

die berliner band rechenzentrum [ marc weiser: sound / lillevan: video ] und der in frankfurt am main lebende pianist ueli wiget [ u.a. ensemble modern ] führen beethovens fünftes klavierkonzert, opus 73 auf: rechenzentrum übernimmt die rolle des orchesters, der pianist spielt den solo-part. nach der uraufführung, die 2006 in japan stattfand, freut sich  t e s l a , mit der europäischen erstaufführung eines vieldiskutierten experiments in das jahr 2007 zu starten.

eine arbeit über die mediale repräsentation von zeit: während die analogtechnik film zeit eher linear abbildet, erscheint digitale zeit vergleichsweise beliebig gestaltbar. "timecoded" bringt beide darstellungen zusammen und öffnet so den blick auf das wesen von medien und zeit.

the berlin band rechenzentrum [ marc weiser: sound / lillevan: video ] and frankfurt-am-main-based pianist ueli wiget  [ ensemble modern, etc. ] perform beethoven's fifth piano concerto, opus 73: rechenzentrum takes over the role of the orchestra, and the pianist plays the solo part.  after the world première, which took place in japan in 2006,  t e s l a  is pleased to begin 2007 with the european première of this extraordinary experiment.

a work about media representation of time: while analog film gives a rather linear view of time, the organization of digital time appears comparatively random."timecoded" brings both interpretations together, offering insight into the nature of media and time.
