Friends in Brazil alerted me to the fact that they managed to get 
scholarships from the Arts Council for two people from the UK who 
want to help them with the Pontos de Cultura project for six months.

Job description
DIFFRACTION: CONNECTING ART, INDUSTRY AND INNOVATION

Arts Council England is the national development agency for the arts 
in England. As part of our Artist Time Space Money project portfolio 
we are offering opportunities for talented artists to spend three to 
six months in innovative industry and research contexts here and 
abroad. Our support includes a bursary to the artist and a 
substantial contribution towards accommodation, living and travel 
costs. Artists will be expected to share skills and knowledge and to 
contribute to research, documentation, evaluation and dissemination 
of best practice.

Opportunities include:

Pontos de Cultura Brazil In association with Rich Mix, two six-month 
placements for creatives working across all types of networked 
digital media production in community environments, with knowledge of 
open source approaches.

Applicants must be free to commence placements no later than May/June 
2006.
