Dear xxx,
For the fourth time, Prix Ars Electronica, the foremost international
prize for computer-based art, is starting its call for entries for
"Digital Communities" projects. The category "Digital Communities"
has been a great success in its last editions and is singling out for
recognition projects of great sociopolitical relevance and - as a new
focus in 2007 - community related net art projects.
The "Digital Communities" category will honor important achievements
by digital communities well as innovative artistic approaches towards
web-based communities. This category focuses attention on the wide-
ranging social and artistic impact of the Internet as well as on the
latest developments in the fields of social software, ubiquitous
computing, mobile communications, wireless networks and Digital
Commons. Special attention goes to community-related net.art.
We would like to ask you to help us "spread the word" in your
community by circulating the information as widely as possible. We
also would be very glad if you could help us identify some projects,
which in your opinion should participate in the competition.
For a detailed description of the category, please consult our
website http://www.aec.at/en/prix/cat_digital_communities.asp
The deadline for submissions is March 9, 2007.
Total Prize Money: 122.500 Euro
If you need any further information or support, please do not
hesitate to come back to me.
Yours sincerely,
Contact: Sonja Panholzer
