Invitation to road show of Russian software companies in Germany
Dear Colleagues,
Consortium Fort-Ross www.fort-ross.ru , Association RUSSOFT,
www.russoft.org together with BITKOM www.bitkom.org organize a road show
of Russian software companies in four regions in Germany - Hamburg, Munich,
Frankfurt, Berlin. The main goal of the road show it to present the best
examples of software technologies and solutions developed in Russia,
projects developed for German industry and possibilities of technological
partnership between German and Russian companies in the field of software
development.
You will have the unique opportunity to meet "the best from the best' -
executives of Russian leading software companies with good experience of
projects done for customers from Germany and other EU countries. 12 Russian
Software companies participate in the road show.
The road show will take place from 21st till 29th of October. German
companies will have an opportunity to book FREE meetings with Russian
software companies via Internet. Every presentation will be followed by B2B
meetings and a networking reception.

Russian leaders in software development come to Germany
The unique opportunity to meet with major leaders of Russian software
development market will appear in late October 2003. The Russian IT
"best of the best" come to Germany in the framework of a "road show"
organized by Consortium Fort-Ross and RUSSOFT Association together
with BITKOM. 12 Russian software development companies will
participate in a 10-days long program which includes presentations
and B2B meetings in three major German IT centers - Hamburg, Munich
and Berlin.
The goal of the road show is to demonstrate the benefits of the
"technological partnership" with Russian software development
companies. Many well-known corporations in Europe have been already
enjoying benefits of placing their software development to Russia and
of using the brainpower of Russian mathematicians and software
engineers. During the road show presentations German attendees will
be provided with concrete examples of such co-operation and will
learn how the partnership with Russian software companies had helped
their colleagues to develop better software, to solve IT problems and
to reach their market goals.
Some examples provided by the road show participants:
Reksoft company from St Petersburg has a very good experience of
working with Alcatel. The challenge was to carry out the comparative
analysis of the functionality, architecture, scalability and the
technical support quality of the tools for UMTS network planning
available on the market. The analysis was intended to help Alcatel to
find the most appropriate network planning tool. The possible
alternatives were to buy, make or outsource the necessary software
tool. The project team had no access to the source code of the
existing systems at the customer's side. The independent and in-depth
analysis, prepared by Reksoft, ensured that Alcatel had the right
strategy in selecting the network planning tools and helped the
customer to optimize the costs to implement the strategy.
Another road show participant, IBA company from Minsk, Byelorussia,
has very broad competence of working with German business and
government authorities. IBA programmers/analysts provided production
maintenance, software development and enhancement activity for legal
proceedings information system MAJA in support of Ministry of Justice
located in one of the German Lands. This system runs on an AS/400
platform. IBA specialists provided new release development;
maintenance, enhancement, system performance analysis and performance
improvement for current release.
The organizer of the road show, National Software Development
Association (RUSSOFT) and Consortium Fort-Ross, see their own role as
promoters of Russian software industry abroad which helps software
companies from Russia gaining more customers. RUSSOFT and Fort-Ross
forge a bridge between German customers and Russian developers. They
have deep knowledge of internal functionality of the participating
companies and is able to recommend the most suitable partners for
potential customers. Fort-Ross is a marketing arm of the RUSSOFT
which has the partnership agreement with BITKOM Association. The road
show in October is a part of joint RUSSOFT-BITKOM activities
formulated into the agreement. It is also a first European "Russian
IT Season" that RUSSOFT and Fort Ross are arranging since 2002 after
a very successful implementation of the first two IT seasons in the
