Question:
What took 5 days to record, has 23 points of view, 53,946 video edits,
and 74,400 surround sound edits?
Answer:
Steve Heimbecker's Songs of Place: Vienna (2005), 31:00 minutes.

Songs of Place: Vienna, commissioned by ORF Kunstradio, is the first European
DVD surround sound portrait produced by Canadian artist Steve Heimbecker. It
is the 5th production in an ongoing series of audio art portraits of places.
Songs of Place: Vienna represents 31 minutes of the daily life occurrences of
all 23 city districts. By using his unique experimental audio and video
production techniques, which compress time and space through layers of
information, Heimbecker presents a densely woven fabric of sight and sound
which expresses the vibrational complexity of the places he creates from.
Songs of Place: Vienna is the most ambitious Songs of Place production to date,
and is, without doubt, one of the best.
