Whistleblower Sun Salute (Public Event)


Gather at Brandenburger Tor to welcome June 5 with a whistle-blowing 
session led by composer Colin Hacklander of N.K. Projekt.

Bring your whistle if possible!  Some whistles provided by Ver.di.

Whistleblowing begins at 8:00 sharp. Be on time! Come pay tribute to 
Edward Snowden and other whistle blowers who shed light on institutional 
& governmental misconduct. Blow your whistles to show support for those 
who act in the public interest & in the defense of democracy!

Short event, ends at 8:30!

N.K. curates an exceptional evening with musicians and artists 
responding to data politics, surveillance & privacy issues, cultures of 
fear and Snowden's actions. Come hear sonified metadata; experiments in 
both computer-controlled instruments and stroboscopes; algorithmic 
composition using various programming environments; and see familiar NSA 
slides in a new light.

The Magical Secrecy Tour is co-produced by transmediale/resource, N.K. 
Projekt, and Leslie Dunton-Downer.

AUDIO LIVE STREAM | Tuesday June 3rd 5:00 AM till 12:00 AM June 5th

FUSE: a 67 hour long audio piece


FUSE: applied algorithmic decay & controlled experiments in encryption

Prepare for June 5th by listening to the US Constitution, German 
Constitution, UN Declaration of Human Rights & A Declaration of the 
Independence of Cyberspace in states of change and contradiction, 
embodying the residual & renewable allure of authority and its opposites.

Piece gradually morphs over the course of 67 hours tune in often to hear 
the changes over time. Day #1 (Tuesday) is pure text reading only. Day 
#2 (Wednesday) the process begins... Final moments of the piece will be 
played at N.K. during the HAPPENING.
