1 - A new notice in Pioneers & Pathbreakers : Alexandre Scriabine, by
Nathalie Ruget-Langlois. http://www.olats.org/setF4.html
Born on January 6th 1872 in Moscow, Scriabine is for sure one of the
most fascinating figure of the musical scene of last Century.
Like Rachmaninov, Scriabine belongs to a new Russian music influenced by
Chopin, Liszt, Wagner and Debussy. But, in 1907 with his Poème de
l’extase, and further more since 1911 with the Sonata n°6 and
Prometheus, he turns to a modernism that makes him a pioneer of the
history of music of the 20th Century.
