radio 05, which is an auditive and experimental platform, takes place 
at diskurs 05.

diskurs is a festival for young arts from Europe with a special
interest in performing art. It is open to different forms of theatre,
dance, performance, installation, music, literature, film and video.
diskurs supports an intense exchange among participants, it seeks for
intersections between the arts as well as connections of theory and
practice.
diskurs is organized by students of applied theatre science in Giessen,
Germany.

The festival takes place from October 18th to October 23rd in Giessen,
Germany for the 21st time.

wir schicken Euch im Anhang die Ausschreibung für radio 05.

radio 05 ist eine auditive und experimentelle Plattform und
findet im Rahmen von diskurs 05 statt.

diskurs ist ein Festival für Nachwuchskunst aus Europa mit Schwerpunkt
auf den performativen Künsten. Es ist offen für unterschiedliche Formen
von Theater, Tanz, Performance, Installation, Musik, Literatur, Film und
Video.
diskurs unterstützt einen intensiven Austausch unter den Teilnehmenden,
sucht Schnittstellen zwischen den Künsten und Verknüpfungen
theoretischer und praktischer Ansätze.
diskurs wird organisiert von Studierenden des Instituts für Angewandte
Theaterwissenschaft Giessen.

Das Festival findet vom 18.Oktober bis 23.Oktober 2005 zum 21. Mal in
Giessen statt.

Ausschreibung diskurs 05 # 2:
18. - 23.Oktober 2005

Eine wichtige und zugleich neue Plattform des Festivals wird ein 
speziell dafür eingerichteter Radiosender sein.
Dieser Sender will als Experimentierfeld für das Medium Radio 
fungieren, will seine Möglichkeiten ausloten und nach Potentialen 
suchen, die dieses rein auditive Medium hinsichtlich der Dominanz der 
visuellen Medien nach wie vor - oder gerade deshalb - interessant 
machen.

Für die Gestaltung des Radios sucht diskurs 05 Ideen und Konzepte, 
Leute, die auf eine kreative und subversive Art und Weise das Medium 
Radio untersuchen wollen und jenseits programmgestalterischer 
Konventionen und Gewohnheiten mit seinen Potentialen spielen. Die 
Vorschläge können von Radioperformances über Hörspiel bis zu 
musikalischen Beiträgen reichen. Uns interessieren dabei neue Formen 
und formale Cross-overs.

Die Künstler der ausgewählten Beiträge werden gemeinsam in einem dem 
Festival vorangestellten viertägigen Workshop (14. bis 17. Oktober) 
das Radioprogramm des Diskursfestivals unter der Leitung von Matthias 
Mohr gestalten.

Announcement diskurs 05 # 2:
October 18th - 23rd 2005

An important new platform of the festival will be a radio station 
especially created for this occasion.
This station will serve as a field for experiments for the medium 
radio aiming to probe its potentials, which in a time dominated by 
images make this auditive medium particularly interesting.

diskurs 05 is looking for ideas, concepts and people who want to 
examine the medium radio in a creative and subversive way and to play 
with its potentials beyond programmatic conventions and customs. The 
suggestions may vary from radio performances to radio theatre and 
musical contributions. We are interested in new forms and formal 
cross-overs.

The artists of the chosen contributions will design the radio 
programme of the diskurs festival in a four day workshop (October 
14th to 17th) preceding the festival guided by Matthias Mohr.
