ARTIST MEETING TONIGHT
A chance to get involved in building an 'urban intervention machine'
with mimoSa or to learn about hidden urban cultures with Bandung.
Ricardo Ruiz from mimoSa (Brazil) and Gustaff Harriman from Bandung
Center for New Media Arts (Indonesia) are artists in residence at
Futuresonic 2006. 7.00-9.00pm, Wed 19 July, The Basement, 24 Lever
St, Northern Quarter, Manchester.

EVERYBODY IS A SATELLITE JOCKEY
Visitors to the Off The Map exhibition are able to mix impromptu VJ
sets using Google Earth to a Futuresonic mix by Satellite Jockey. A
Futuresonic exclusive VJ installation. 20-29 July.

FERAL ROBOTS, LIVE MOBILE MUSIC, WIRELESS SARDINES
Live projects from the Off The Map exhibition will be presented in
the courtyard outside the Museum of Science and Industry and in the
exhibition galleries. Includes Urban Tapestries, IMPROVe and Speckled
Jewellery. (See project listing for details.) 21-22 July.

MUSIC FOR THE BEEP GENERATION
One of the highlight events of Futuresonic 2006, featuring some of
the most pioneering artists working in music today, Battles (USA),

TRAIN STRIKE!
If visiting Manchester by rail we recommend you depart before 12 noon
on Friday. There is a "possible" train strike in UK from 12.00pm
(midday) Friday 21 July to 11.59am Saturday 22 July. If travelling
before 12 noon on Friday your journey will not be affected. Some
routes are offering an alternative timetable. See
