LOBBY GALLERY LATE FALL RESIDENCY

Residency includes:

-Six weeks free accommodation at the Dominion Hotel in downtown Vancouver
(November 1- Dec 15, 2006) www.dominionhotel.ca

-Three week exhibition at Lobby Gallery
(December 8-31, 2006)

Application Requirements:
1. Proposal for the project you plan to realize at Lobby
2. Introduction to yourself and a description of your artistic practice
3. CD-R with 5-10 images of past work -or- a link to your web-portfolio
4. C.V.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Lobby Gallery is a unique exhibition space with a curatorial mandate to
exhibit work that is site-specific.

Consisting of a lighted 10' x 17.5' (3m x 5.3m)white wall in the lobby
of the historic Dominion Hotel, it is accessible 24 hours a day,
monitored by hotel desk staff, and frequented by hotel residents,
guests, Gastown tourists, artists and more.

The ideal artist for this residency will have an adaptable practice and
an interest in working with the semi-public space presented. Creation of
exhibition content will be completed during the residency.
