Curating the Other: The Curator as Tourist
Saturday 21 April 2007, 11.00  – 18.00
The Hexagon Building, Dartington College of Arts

The seminar includes an international panel of curators:
Sergio Edelsztein (Director, Centre for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv, 
Israel
and curator-in-residence with CN), Matei Bejenaru (Artist, Director of
Periferic Biennial, Iasi, Romania), Paul Domela (Programme Director,
Liverpool Biennial, UK) and Prof. Yacouba Konate (Curator, University of
Abidjan, Ivory Coast). The seminar will be chaired by Prof. Antonia 
Payne
(Dean of Research at Dartington College of Arts).

NETWORKING EVENT

The Gallery and The Hexagon Building, Dartington College of Arts

An afternoon public event where participants of the professional 
development
sessions (delivered by Sergio Edelsztein during his curatorial 
residency)
will share the outcome of their research with the public and guest 
speakers
of the seminar. The session is also a curatorial networking event.

This residency, seminar and related public events are the first of the
Curatorial Network programme. The Curatorial Network is a collaborative
initiative involving partner art institutions and independent curators 
to
contribute to the development of curatorial practice through critical 
debate
and exchange.

This project has been co-produced by Spacex (www.spacex.org) and 
Dartington
College of Arts (www.dartington.ac.uk) as part of the Curatorial Network
programme.

Curatorial Network is currently delivered by KURATOR (www.kurator.org) 
and
ArtProjects and Solutions (http://www.artprojectsandsolutions.com), and
