Principal purpose of the job

To provide maternity cover (approx. 9 months) for the artistic 
leadership of the organisation.

Context

folly is a leading digital arts organisation, based in the North West of 
England. A temporary post is required to cover maternity leave cover for 
Kathryn Lambert, Creative Director of folly. This is an exciting 
opportunity to join folly and to contribute towards the development of 
the organisation and its current artistic programme of projects. Key 
responsibility will be to oversee the delivery of this years programme 
and to put into place plans for 2009. We are seeking an individual who 
can significantly contribute to building upon the success of this years 
Velocity festival, extending projects such as Digi Club, Digital Artists 
Handbook and driving our new Big Lottery funded project Portable Pixel 
Playground forwards. You will bring extensive experience of working in 
the media arts sector and in developing online audiences. You will be a 
proactive fundraiser and will strengthen our collaborative partnerships 
nationally and internationally.
