Three reasons to cross the US/México border this Saturday September 27th:

1) Lui Velazquez presents artist: Bob Medina
Alternative art space, Lui Velazquez, opens its doors for the Fall
exhibition season to exhibit the work of San Diego artist and punk rock
guru, Bob Medina.
Lui Velazquez is located half a block from the border crossing in Colonia
Federal, Tijuana.

2) La Casa del Túnel: Art Center
Grand Opening of 3-story international gallery, non-profit, and exhibition
space with artist-in-residency program with studios for visiting artists
soon to come. The show, Citizen Artists Making Emphatic Arguments, will be
an art exhibition examining environmental justice. The space has an
amazing history, one of the building’s tenants dug a tunnel (approximately
150 ft.) under the house, from Tijuana to San Ysidro. La Casa del Túnel is
2 blocks from the international border crossing.

3) CECUT (Centro Cultural Tijuana), the international art museum in
Tijuana, opens its new addition, Cubo. Inauguracion del Cubo del CECUT.
Artists from Tijuana and San Diego are part of this grand opening.
CECUT is a $5 taxi ride from the border.
