’Social disorganization’ means a particular set of conditions that make
it easier for crime to take hold in urban contexts. The works in this
exhibition ‘act out’ a kind of delinquency. — Vasif Kortun

Frequently funny and frequently situationist in character, *Socially
Disorganised* presents video which documents performative art – often
live acts of minor civil disobedience. Many of the works happen in
versions, over time, whilst all of them could be said to activate the
city in absurd and novel ways. The curator has selected works from ten
prolific artists — rarely, if ever, seen before in Australia —
specifically for this exhibition at the EAF.

Kortun will also meet with artists and curators in Sydney in a visit
organised by Artspace, and Casula Powerhouse.
