Am 4. Februar 2011 um 18.00 Uhr wird Maya Brush, ein “Homo
Virtualis” im Netherlands Media Art Institute (NIMk) Amsterdam
geboren. 
Maya Brush ist eine virtuelle Skulptur der Medien-Künstlerin Kirsten
Geisler.
Sie können Maya Brush auf ihrem Weg in die reale Welt begleiten und
sich mit ihr vernetzen via

Maya Brush ist ein Homo virtualis. Eine virtuelle Skulptur, die von
Kirsten Geisler geschaffen wurde und jetzt den Weg in die Realität geht.
Seien Sie dabei, wenn Maya am 4. Februar 2011 um 18 Uhr das Licht der
digitalen und realen Welt erblickt.
Die weltweit erste virtuelle Geburt findet online auf
www.firstvirtualbirth.com statt und wird mit einem Countdown
eingeleitet. Nach ihrer Geburt wird die Facebook-Fanseite von Maya
online gehen  www.facebook.com/maya.brush. Begleitet wird die Geburt vom
NIMk The Netherlands Media Art Institute in Amsterdam mit einer
Ausstellung. Nach der Geburt können Sie auf Mayas Facebook-Seite
miterleben, wie sie den Weg ins Leben geht und als erste virtuelle
Skulptur den Medienraum erobert, in Auftritten und Berichten in
Zeitschriften, Magazinen, TV-Beiträgen und YouTube-Videos. Schon jetzt
sind Termine mit Modefotografen wie Peter Lindbergh oder Karl Lagerfeld
geplant.
Begleiten Sie Maya Brush bei ihrem Aufbruch in die digitalen und realen
Medienwelten und helfen Sie ihr, sich zu vernetzen und den Weg in die
reale Welt zu gehen.

On February 4th 2011, the birth of Maya Brush, a “Homo Virtualis”,
takes place at the Media Art Institute (NIMk) Amsterdam 6:00 pm.
Maya Brush is a virtual sculpture by media artist Kirsten Geisler.

Maya Brush is a Homo Virtualis, a virtual sculpture developed by artist
Kirsten Geisler, that will now take its first step into reality. Join us
on February 4th, 2011 at 6 pm when Maya is born into the real and
digital world.
The world's first virtual birth can be viewed online at
www.firstvirtualbirth.com and will be initiated with a countdown. The
birth will be accompanied with an exhibition at NIMk The Netherlands
Media Art Institute in Amsterdam. After the birth everyone across the
globe will have access to Maya's Facebook page
www.facebook.com/maya.brush which will follow her on her journey into
real life as she conquers the medial realm as the first virtual
sculpture through various appearances and articles in newspapers and
magazines, television reports and YouTube videos. By now, Maya is
scheduled for appointments with fashion photographers like Peter
Lindbergh and Karl Lagerfeld.

real and digital media-realms and help her network herself on her path
to the real world.
