[spectre] A Decree of Israeli-Palestinian Revolution

To Netanyahu and Abu Mazen I issue this decree:

These revolutions we have seen all across the Middle East and North Africa
represent a sea change in international relations and in Democracy in the
world. Today, the 2nd of March, 2011, the 26th of Adar 5771, is the day for
you to declare a new and everlasting peace in the region. Make a pact. Make
an armistice. Make a decree of friendship and unity among Israelis and
Palestinians. Make a public inquiry into human rights abuses. Make a Truth
and Reconciliation Committee. Make a Department of Peace in your cabinet to
assure there is an everlasting peace. Observe the Geneva conventions. Follow
through with the Camp David Accords.

Today and from now on, let it be known that there will be two democracies
living side by side, the State of Israel, and the State of Palestine. Today
is a day to declare your independence. For a new independent State of Israel
to be free of its past misdealing and to proclaim its former enemy will now
be its allie. Now is the time to recognize the State of Palestine. On this
day, there will be no more war.

Stop the War in Gaza. Stop the War with Hezbollah to the North. Stop the war
in the Occupied Territories. Stop harassing and killing each other, for the
love of God. On behalf of Jewish and Muslim and Christian Youth everywhere,
we will tolerate no more war.
