The destiny of art is connected with the destiny of the world, and
current destiny of the networked world depends on understanding of media
that bring new rules and establish new relations in culture. In this
context the question of limited disciplinary (aesthetic) cognition of
art is raised, also the questions on relations of new artistic practices
are established, as new techniques, new shapes of art perception, new
theories and art philosophy. The beauty of creativity, ceremony, dance,
ritual, oral storytelling, various crafts, artistic shapes verified by
civil public, is now the area of multimedia and networks. What is the
level of artistic in beauty and creation? What is going on with the art
in age of multiplicity, creative industries, at the time of turning the
world into a supermarket, and spirituality as addition to institutions
whose role is to care about spirituality? Modern mass media, by taking
the elements of beauty and creativity of artistic worlds, are today the
way to close one period of art, i.e. to close the area of other artistic
efforts. Some of these artistic shapes are leaving from public scene and
become the memories.
This year the main topics of Symposium “Philosophy of media”, dedicated
to the theme “Art and media”, are following:

-The art in age of network reproducibility

-True art in age of mass media seduction

-Traditional art in age of multimedia and network communications

-Artistic intentions and virtual worlds
