bösediva - Abwesendes Fleisch

Eine Bewegungswerkstatt

--German below --

The artists group bösediva is initiating a workshop process in
collaboration with LEAP Berlin. We are searching for five to seven
participants for a common open learning process.

The workshop is called „Abwesendes Fleisch“ („absent flesh") and focuses on
the search for a new language of the body. We are looking for a new quality
of movement, which is not contemporary dance, not theater, not therapy, not
sport, but maybe art.

The workshop is open end. During its course it will feature public
presentations, the form of which will be developed in the group. All
members of the group should have a practical or theoretical interest in the
performative in some form. Nevertheless, we hope specifically for
participants that do not come directly from the dance or Performance
backgrounds.

During the working process body and movement experts will be invited in
order to widen the knowledge of the participants. These experts come from
professions that require an intensive examination of physicality on a
practical or theoretical level.

They should inspire us to deal with different body conditions and body
images, with control and loss of control, health, the body as a machine, an
object, an instrument, with forms of disablement, with torture, sports,
nutrition or addiction, without losing sight of the practical work on
movement.

The input of experts can be incorporated directly or indirectly in the
work. The interventions of experts may be public or private.

The workshop will take the form of a bi-weekly, two-hour meeting at LEAP; a
public intervention in the first month is our initial goal. This project is
currently not funded, no participants and experts fees or allowances can be
paid.

-----------------

Alle
Performativen in irgendeiner Form verbinden.
