Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor in Interaction Design
School of Design - Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand
This Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor role focuses on delivering high quality teaching, research, and service, in the School of Design, across various areas related to interaction design research and production. The appointed candidate should have significant experience and knowledge in current design research methods and practices, and should have substantial expertise in one or more of the following areas:
game and app design
user experience design
The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate an existing research programme, and/or creative practice, and will have identified strategies for further developing his or her research/creative practice within the School of Design’s strategic research areas.

Please note that Senior Lecturer in New Zealand is equivalent to Assistant/Associate Professor in North America - and Associate Professor is a bit more advanced than how that title is presented in North America. Also, New Zealand does not have a tenure system - all new hires that are not fixed-term appointments are considered permanent roles.
