We are inviting filmmakers, artists, and creators to submit ultrashort
video works for the festival centered around the theme "in-JOY" We are
living through a time of war, political violence, and constant uncertainty.
With so much conflict coming at us every day, it can be difficult to stay
present, creative, or hopeful. Art can respond to this reality, but it
doesn’t always have to reflect the darkness around us. It can also give us
a moment to breathe, reconnect, and feel something different. Finding joy
and peace in a time of war is not about ignoring what is happening. It can
be a way of resisting it. Choosing what we allow into our minds and bodies,
even for a few seconds, can be a way of holding on to a sense of freedom
and agency. We are looking for works that see joy as something more than
optimism or distraction. Joy can be a source of strength. It can help us
stay connected to ourselves and to others when the world feels overwhelming.
The festival is digital and screens the movies online November 8-22, 2026.
In addition we use public space in Valencia (ES) and Gol (NO) to show the
festival via QR-codes.
We're collaborating with 60Seconds Festival in Copenhagen (DK) which takes
place at the same time. 60sec screens a selection of the movies in addition
to their 60 seconds movies in Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Køge and Helsingør
during the festival's two weeks.
In addition, all One-OffF movies will be included in the next Leap Second
Festival, an irregular x-ennale taking place at the second inserted into
global time at 23:59:60 and lasting until 00:00:00.
