Conference</EM><BR>----------------------------------------------------------------------</P>
<P>Dear Share Festival friends,<BR>the Smart Mistakes programme is now on-line.
>From project failure to the aesthetics of error, the 6th Piemonte Share Festival
will be exploring the artistic and cultural import of error and chance
discovery, through installations, exhibitions, performances, debates and, of
course, the highly anticipated awarding of this year’s Share Prize.</P>
<P>The 6th <STRONG>Piemonte Share Festival</STRONG>, directed by <STRONG>Simona
Lodi and Chiara Garibaldi</STRONG> is just around the corner. Within the
programme of events for <STRONG>Your Time, Torino 2010 European Youth
Capital</STRONG>, Share Festival together with ClubToClub, Musica90 and
Prospettiva will be presenting <STRONG>Youth Museum</STRONG>, hosted
<STRONG>from 15th October to 7th November </STRONG>by the<STRONG> Regional
Museum of Natural Science</STRONG> in Turin.</P>
<P>And in the lead up to the festival<STRONG>, two special events </STRONG>will
be showcasing just what it means to <STRONG>create art in the digital
age</STRONG>.</P>
<P><STRONG>WARM UP - PIEMONTE SHARE FESTIVAL </STRONG><BR>waiting for the 6th
edition (2nd–7th November, 2010)<BR><BR><STRONG>YOUTH MUSEUM - Regional Museum
of Natural Science, via Giolitti 36, Turin</STRONG><BR><STRONG>Friday, 15th
October, 7 PM, second floor. Admission is free<BR>performance by ENIAC</STRONG>,
<STRONG><EM>INTO THE WOOD</EM></STRONG><BR><EM>Into the Wood </EM>is an
environment-themed electro-acoustic performance that uses wood as its main
source of sound for the creation of sound textures, rhythms and melodies. The
performance is made complete thanks to the creative input of set designer
Catherine Chanoux and videomaker Silvia Poeta Paccati. Produced by Piemonte
Share in partnership with SMIR, Multimedia Spaces for Innovation and
Research.</P>
<P><STRONG>WEDNESDAY, 20th October, 6 PM, conference hall. Admission is
free<BR>conference by NICOLAS NOVA, <EM>Accidents and failures as creative
material for the near future</EM></STRONG><BR><STRONG>Error </STRONG>– as
artistic director<STRONG> Simona Lodi</STRONG> explains - has truly
<STRONG>unique creative power</STRONG>, as it represents the emergence of a
problem, a pointer highlighting the need for attention that ultimately leads to
new solutions and innovation. The central theme of the <STRONG>sixth Piemonte
Share Festival</STRONG> will be looked at through an engaging conference
entitled <EM>Accidents and failures as creative material for the near
future</EM>, chaired by the prominent researcher <STRONG>Nicolas
Nova</STRONG>.</P>
<P><STRONG>THURSDAY, 28th OCTOBER<BR>9 PM Screening of selected videos from the
13th Japan Media Art Festival</STRONG><BR>To mark its partnership with the Japan
Media Art Festival, Share Festival is presenting on the big screen a glimpse of
creative trends in video in contemporary Japan. The three-part screening will
cover different aspects of video: entertainment, art and animation.</P>
