<b><font size="4">Портрет 19 Миллионов</font></b>

Приглашение к участию</b>

</b>«Портрет 19 миллионов» – это открытый для участия проект,
организованный художником Евгением Фиксом, который будет
представлен в рамках выставки «Невозможное сообщество» (куратор
Виктор Мизиано) в Московском музее современного искусства осенью
2011 года (сентябрь-октябрь). <br>
Согласно официальной статистике в период Перестройки в
Коммунистической Партии Советского Союза состояло 19 миллионов
человек. Это были люди, вступившие в партию в разное время и
при разных обстоятельствах. КПСС не была гомогенной структурой
ни социально, ни идеологически. Кем же были члены партии тогда?
Что их объединяло, а что могло отчуждать друг от друга? Кто они
теперь? «Портрет 19 миллионов» обращается к судьбам конкретных
людей, используя как чисто художественные, так и социологические
инструменты в своей попытке осмысления советской и постсоветской
субъективности.<br>
К участию в проекте приглашаются все желающие, вне зависимости
от профессии. Участникам предлагается прислать портрет (или
автопортрет) любого человека, который состоял в КПСС в последние
годы существования СССР. Возраст, сфера деятельности и
социальный статус героя портрета значения не имеют. Работа
может быть выполнена в любом стиле и технике: любительская
фотография, студийный фотопортрет, мобилография, видео,
живопись, рисунок, коллаж и.т.д.<br>

<b>Условия Участия:</b><br>

Автор должен связаться с организатором проекта, художником
Евгением Фиксом до 15 июля 2011 года по адресу: <a

В процессе обсуждения будет сформирован алгоритм работы, после
чего участнику необходимо будет заполнить анкету с
биографическими данными героя своего портрета (анкета высылается
после подтверждения участия). Присланные к участию в выставке
материалы будут экспонироваться в виде инсталляции в Московском
музее современного искусства в сентябре-октябре 2011 года. Имена
всех участников проекта будут указаны в музейных экспликациях.
Участники также сохраняют за собой авторские права на
предоставленный материал, после выставки музей возвращает работы
авторам.<br>

<b><font size="4">Portrait of 19 Million</font> <br>

Call for Participation</b><br>

"Portrait of 19 million" is an open participatory project,
organized by artist Yevgeniy Fiks, which will be presented in
the exhibition "The Impossible Communities" (curated by Viktor
Misiano) at the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art in fall 2011
(September-October). <br>
According to official Soviet statistics, during the Perestroika
period 19 million people were members of the Communist Party of
the Soviet Union. These were people who joined the Party at
different times and under different circumstances. CPSU was not
homogeneous neither in terms of its social make up nor
ideologically. Who were the members of the Party then? What
united them and what could alienate them from each other? Who
are they now? "Portrait of 19 million" focuses on fates of
concrete individuals, using as a purely artistic as well and
sociological tools in an attempt to understand the Soviet and
post-Soviet subjectivity. <br>
Everyone is welcome to participate in this project, regardless
of profession. Participants are invited to send a portrait (or
self-portrait) of any person who was a member of the Communist
Party of the Soviet Union during the last years of the
USSR. Age, occupation, social status of the portrait's hero
doesn't matter. The portrait can be done in any style and
technique: amateur photography, studio portraits, mobilography,
video, painting, drawing, collage, etc. <br>

<b>Conditions of participation: </b><br>
<br>
The author should contact the project organizer, the artist
Yevgeniy Fiks by July 15, 2011 at: <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="mailto:portraitof19million@gmail.com" target="_blank">portraitof19million@gmail.com</a>. The
discussion will generated a working algorithm, after which the
participant will need to fill out a questionnaire with
biographical data of the portrait's hero (the questionnaire will
be sent after confirmation of participation). The questioners
and portraits will be exhibited in the form of an installation
in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art in September-October
2011. The names of all project participants will be listed in
the museum's materials. Participants will retain the copyrights
on the material provided, after the exhibition the museum
returns the works back to the authors.</div>
