The parabolas are suspended in the public space in such a way that a visitor only hears the sound from the beam when he or she is directly underneath it. Each beam plays a different stream from the Locustream project. The live streamed sounds are soundscapes coming from remote locations through the Internet. The space where the paraboles are hung is virtually connected to geo-distant spaces. By moving from one beam to another the audience walks through audio windows opening out onto a worldwide soundscape. Ce projet repose sur le système évolutif de "microphones ouverts" placés dans le monde entier et qui envoient, chacun, en permanence et en direct un flux sonore par «streaming » (émis et relayé sur le réseau Internet). Ces paysages sonores transmis à distance sont écoutés en temps réel sur le dispositif lorsque l'auditeur/spectateur se place sous chaque parabole. L'installation permet une autre écoute et conscience de son environnement sonore. Cette perception par l'écoute est à la fois discrète et singulière, dans le sens où peuvent se cristalliser tout au long de la présentation de l'installation, des pratiques individuelles et partagées d'auditeur.</div><div>Locustream Promenade devient une sorte de caisse de résonance ou une membrane, vibrant aux variations sonores géo-distantes, sur le principe des relations et des interconnections d'espaces entre chaque lieu où est placé un microphone.
