Everyone who’s anyone in Rotterdam will be walking down the V2_ red
carpet at January 27 for the premiere of Olivier Otten’s interactive
feature film <i>Order</i>. His first full-length work follows his
hugely successful interactive Selfcontrolfreak shorts. Preview at <a

Order was realized in cooperation with several artists and designers
from Rotterdam. The viewer plays an active role, and is responsible
for the development of the story. The world première is followed by
a Q&A with the director and participating artists, about the
(im)possibilities of interaction in film. After party with DJ Jonas
Vorwerk and champagne!<br>

Sander Veenhof and Jos de Mul to talk about augmented reality. Their
chat is part of De Unie in Debat’s Smart Talk discussion and debate
series, taking place at the Rotterdamse Schouwburg during the
International Film Festival Rotterdam. <br>

The IFFR side program Signals: <i>For Real</i> features a selection
of AR projects including works by Aram Bartholl, Sander
Veenhof and Wouter Huis. <br>

For the third time the students of the Media Technology MSc program
present their installations at V2_. The Media Technology MSc program
is a place where students are encouraged to formulate their own
scientific questions, and to translate personal inspiration and
curiosity into their own research projects. To answer these
questions, students are stimulated to create actual installations,
by creating and doing, new scientific insights into the underlying
questions are encountered. <br>

Bas Haring will give a special lecture before the opening on

Scent specialist Sissel Tolaas will presents some aromatic artworks
at V2_ that confront us with the role scent plays in taste during
the Rotterdam Museum Night on March 10. We are also working with
Sissel Tolaas on a new edition of Test_Lab scheduled for March 15,
working title: <i>Smell My Tweet</i>.<br>
