you might want to join us today and tomorrow for the International seminar CARTOGRAPHIES OF
THE UNSEEN<br>Università Iuav, Palazzo Badoer, Aula Tafuri San Polo 2468, Venezia<br><br>The
international seminar Cartographies of the Unseen, produced by the
Institut Ramon Llull with the support of Venice’s Iuav University and
Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), is to be held as part of
Catalonia in Venice 2017_La Venezia che non si vede, a Collateral Event
at the 57th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. It
will be the perfect opportunity to present the work carried out by the
community of citizens, volunteers, students and researchers which are
taking part in the Venetian edition of the BlindWiki project.<br>This inclusive project <a href="http://blind.wiki" target="_blank">http://blind.wiki</a>
is being presented at the Cantieri Navali de Castello from May 13th to
November 26th. It is a sensorial interpretation of the city of canals,
created by Catalan artist Antoni Abad in collaboration with people who
are blind or visually impaired, a collective who uses their senses in a
different and unique way. Through the shared exchange of both the
experiences and difficulties of their daily lives, less obvious urban
forms are revealed, allowing for a new map of public space to be drawn
up that is usable by everyone. This Seminar will bring together a
selected interdisciplinary group of artists, activists and scholars who
have been invited to be active participants engaging on the collective

poetic practices that include geolocating, sensorialization and social
engagement, as means to research art and accessibility both in urban
