El papel del
arte y de los
artistas en el
contexto
cultural y
social ha sido
una de las
cuestiones más
tratadas y
debatidas a lo
largo de la
historia, y
desde
distintos
ámbitos
teóricos y
prácticos de
las artes, las
humanidades y
las ciencias
sociales se
han aportado
diferentes
visiones sobre
la materia.
Sin embargo,
en todos los
casos, se ha
coincidido en
la relevancia
que tienen
obras,
procesos y
agentes
artísticos en
el tejido
cultural de
los distintos
contextos, y
en cómo las
artes han
proporcionado
un campo de
conocimiento,
de
comunicación y
de
experimentación
fundamental
para las
sociedades.</p>

el momento
actual, el
arte se
entiende como
un factor que,
además de
cumplir las
funciones
estéticas que
tradicionalmente se le han atribuido, puede y debe aportar otras
contribuciones
a la sociedad.

congreso se

investigaciones
que versan
sobre esta
temática desde
diversas
perspectivas,
con objeto de
proporcionar
una reflexión
colectiva y
actual sobre
cuáles pueden
ser las
relaciones
entre las
artes y el
contexto
social en la
