akemi takeya & ulf langheinrich: weathering
disziplin und rhythmus zeichnen die arbeiten der in wien lebenden choreografin, kuratorin und performerin akemi takeya aus. weathering thematisiert elementare bewegungen des menschen: stehen, gehen, liegen, sitzen. der körper wird dabei als kinetisches objekt aufgefasst. die innere energie folgt einer imaginierten form. diese wird in bewegung umgesetzt, aus ihr wird eine figur entwickelt. der elektronische raum steht für sich selbst. er ist kein kommentar zur körperperformance. "handlung bewirkt nichts. zeit läuft ab." takeyas bewegungen und langheinrichs kongeniales audiovisuelles environment verfolgen vom beginn bis zum ende eine strategie, die einen zustand von zeitlosigkeit herstellt.

discipline and rhythm distinguish the work of the vienna-based choreographer, curator, and performer akemi takeya. weathering focuses on elementary human movement: standing, walking, lying down, sitting. the body is regarded as a kinetic object. the inner energy follows an imagined form, which is translated into movement from which a figure is developed. the electronic space stands independent, not commenting on the body's performance. "action accomplishes nothing. time is running out." from beginning to end, takeya's movements and langheinrich's kindred audio-visual environment pursue a strategy which creates a condition of timelessness.
