Metropole in das Dorf ­ eine Landpartie zum XI. Rohkunstbau

Raus aus der Stadt. Aber wie? Schloss oder Reihenhaus, Oderbruch oder 
Speckgürtel ­ wir bieten Entscheidungshilfe.

Zusammen mit dem Schriftsteller Kolja Mensing organisieren die Architekten 
und Raumtaktiker Matthias Böttger und Friedrich von Borries am Samstag, 10. 
Juli, eine Busfahrt in das Berliner Umland.

Um 16 Uhr geht es los. Auf dem Weg zum Wasserschloss Groß Leuthen machen 
wir zunächst halt in Königs Wusterhausen und besuchen eine 
Musterhaussiedlung. My home is my castle: 35 Unternehmen präsentieren ihre 
Vorstellung vom idealen Fertighaus, von billig bis teuer, mit Whirlpool 
oder Muskelhypothek.

Zurück auf der Autobahn liest Kolja Mensing aus seinem Roman „Wie komme ich 
hier raus?“ über das Aufwachsen in der Provinz zwischen Jugendzentrum, 
Bushaltestelle und Wendehammer ­ und über die Flucht nach Berlin. Was ist 
Heimat? Wo ist zu Hause?

Schließlich träumen wir auf dem Land von der Stadt von Morgen: In Groß 
Leuthen wird am Abend „Metropolis“ von Fritz Lang unter freiem Himmel in 
der Hörspielversion von Michael Farin und zeitblom aufgeführt. Es besteht 
die Möglichkeit am Schloss zu picknicken ­ und im See zu schwimmen.

Wer jetzt kein Haus hat, baut sich keines mehr... und fährt am späten Abend 
mit zurück nach Berlin.

Searching for the Dreamhouse ...

as part of the event series "From the metropolis to village - an excursion 
to the countryside"

Out of th city - but how do we settle there? Castle or condo? Terrace house 
or a villa? In the hinterwald or the rich outskirts of the metropolis?
We offer some advice to find your dream place.

Teamed up with the author Kolja Mensing the two architects and raumtaktiker 
(spatial tactitians) Matthias Boettger and Friedrich von Borries organize 
an excursion to the suburban landscape around Berlin, on Saturday, July 10th.

A shuttle bus departs at 4 pm in Berlin Mitte. The trip brings the audience 
to Koenigs Wusterhausen. There will be a tour to a sample house village. My 
home is my caste: 35 corporations present their ideas of an ideal 
pre-fabricated house - ranging from luxury to highly economic, some with 
whirlpools, some without a basement.

Back on the road Kolja Mensing reads from his novel "How do I get out of 
here?". It is about growing up in the province, between a youth club, a bus 
stop and a dead end street - and the escape to Berlin. What is home? Where 
does one belong?

Eventually we dream in the countryside about the city of tomorrow: In Gross 
Leuthen there will be a presentation of the audio drama "Metropolis", based 
on Fritz Lang's silent movie. The piece has been created by Michael Farin, 
it's music is by zeitblom.
There will be the opportunity to see the exhibition "Rohkunstbau - A 
European Portrait #2" with international contemporary site specific art, to 
swim in the lake and have a pick-nick.

"Who doesn't have a house now, won't build one any more" - as Rilke puts it 
- and will return to Berlin in the late evening.
