Liebe Künstlerkollegen und Künstlerfreunde,

Die Deadline für Einreichungen für den diesjährigen Chaos Communication
Congress naht: Sonntag, der 15. September!
Der Congress, Europas größtes Hacker-Event, findet dieses Jahr zum 30.
Mal statt (30C3), und zwar wieder in Hamburg im CCH, vom 27. bis zum 30.
Dezember.

Nachdem es in den letzten Jahren (u.a. wegen Platzmangel in der alten
Location) immer weniger Kunst und Schönheit zu sehen gab, soll das nun
anders werden. Und wie es so kommt, bin ich dieses Jahr beim
neugegründeten Team Art&Beauty dabei, um mein persönliches Ziel zu
verfolgen, die Kunst-/Medienkunst-/OpenSource-/Hacker-/Nerd-Szenen näher
zusammenzubringen.

Wir suchen nach inspirierenden Talks, lustigen Workshops,
atemberaubenden Installationen, überwältigenden Performances...

Für Talks gibt es verschiedene Formate, 1h, 30min, und sogenannte
Lightning Talks (5 min).
Wir planen einen speziell für Art&Beauty reservierten Bereich, in dem
Platz für eine Ausstellung und Workshops ist, aber das Gebäude ist
RIESIG und es gibt jede Menge Platz für was auch immer uns einfällt.
Budget: Der CCCongress ist ein gemeinschaftliches Event, und niemand,
der dafür arbeitet, wird bezahlt. Trotzdem (zumal ich ja selber weiß wie
schwierig das für Künstler ist) versuche ich gerade einen Topf
klarzumachen, aus dem Materialkosten und Transport gedeckt werden können.

Falls Du jemanden kennst, der unbedingt dabei sein sollte, kannst Du
gerne den Call weiterleiten oder mich direkt kontaktieren. Wie immer
suchen wir natürlich besonders nach weiblichen Speakern, und anderen
nicht-weiß-männlichen Nerds :-)

PS. Zumal das der 30. Congress ist, könnte das die Chance sein, ein

PPS. Disclaimer: Leider habe ich nicht das letzte Wort in der
Entscheidung, deswegen kann ich nicht garantieren, daß Du dabei bist.
Das gilt besonders für die Talks. Wir sind 6 Leute im Art&Beauty Team,
und haben nur 8-12 slots. Die finale Entscheidung trifft das Meta
Content Team des CCC.

Dear fellow artists, and artist friends,

The deadline for the CfP for this year's Chaos Communication Congress,
Europes biggest gathering of the hacker scene, is fast approaching: Sept
15th.
This year is the 30th Congress (30C3), and it's taking place in Hamburg,
at CCH, from December 27th till 30th.

As it happens, I am part of the Team Art&Beauty, pursuing my personal
goal to bring the artist/hacker/nerd communities closer together. We are
looking for inspiring talks, fun workshops, breathtaking installations,
mind-blowing performances, ...

Format for talks and performances: 1h slot, 30 min slot, lightning talk
(5 min)
Format for workshops and installations: We are planning to have an
Art&Beauty assembly with some kind of exhibition, but the place is HUGE
and you can get as big and widespread as you like.
Budget: The CCCongress is a community event, which means that no-one
gets paid for working there. However, since I can tell how hard being an
artist can be, I am trying to organise a budget to cover
material/production costs, and transportation for artworks.


Also, if there's anyone who you think should not be missing, feel free
to forward the call or make suggestions. (As always, we are particularly
looking for female speakers, and other non-white-male nerds:)

PS. Since this is the 30th anniversary, this might be the chance to
realize a new, large-scale collaborative project (remember

PPS. Disclaimer: Since I don't have the last word in the final decision,
I cannot guarantee that you'll be in. That goes especially for the
talks. The Art&Beauty content team are 6 people and we only have 8-12
slots. The final decision will be made by CCC's content meta team.
