on yahoogroups, you can peek at the subscribers lists, and they present all 
eemails as half formed addresses, making it impossible to see the full address.

i'm not sure if it would be even remotely useful, but you _could_ send the 
subscription list via this method if you wanted (of course it would mean 
manually deleting the end of the addressed).

if people really wanted to they could then add in their name, location:

honor harger, new zealand emigre


might be a bit of a silly long-winded way of doing things though.
for tjhose curious about who's on the list though, it could be a good way 
of seeing.
