i dont just write academic texts, i'm also a weirdo.  i'm having a painting 
exhibit here in paris at the simple machine gallery. its a series of 13 
photomanipulations [which is to say that i took some photos and had my way 
with them].  the opening is on the 4th of september [here in paris] and if 
you can make it i'd appreciate it.
